Discussion programmes on NEP-2020 held

One day discussion programmes on 'National Education Policy-2020' were held at various colleges across the state.
The programme at DM College of Science was organised at Department of Mathematics under the Directorate of University and Higher Education.
The discussion programme was attended by H Jayantakumar Singh, head of department, Department of Mathematics, DM College of Science; Advocate Santa Khaidem from High Court of Manipur and Dr M Bhubaneswari Devi, principal of DM College of Science as presidium members.
Speaking at the programme, Dr K Anthony Singh, assistant professor, Department of Mathematics, DM College of Science said the NEP-2020 is an excellent policy and implementation of all the aspects of the policy will only be possible when their is co-operation amongst the Government, teachers, parents/guardians, students and staff of educational institutes.
The programme at Oriental College was organised by Internal Quality Assurance Cell under the sponsorship of State Project Directorate, Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA).
The discussion programme was attended by Professor H Tombi, former VC, Manipur University and chairman, Governing Body, Oriental College; Dr S Ranjit, principal, Oriental College; Khumukcham Priyojit, member, Lamjaotongba GP; Lourembam Ongbi Langlen Leima, member, Lamjaotongba GP and Naorem Ragini, member, Lamjaotongba GP, as presidium members.
Dr M Suresh, professor, GP College was present as resource person at the programme today.
A similar programme was also organised at Ideal Girls College, Akampat, Jiri College, Jiribam, DM College of Teacher Education and Thoubal College attended by teachers, students, parents, guardians and local eduationist.
The feedback and ideas from the discussion programme will be compiled as a report and submitted to the relevant authority.
