Shiv Sena eyeing to contest Municipal, ADC polls

Shiv Sena Manipur
president M Tombi has informed that discussion will
be held with central leaders about fielding party's
candidates in the Municipal
Council and ADC elections
likely to be held in September/October this year.
M Tombi told media persons at party's Babupara office here on Sunday that he
will visit New Delhi on Monday to congratulate Droupadi
Murmu, who is set to take
oath as the 15th President of
India, and meet party leaders
to discuss about preparation
being made by the party for
the upcoming Municipal
Council and ADC elections.
Some aspiring candidates for
ADC elections have already
approached the party for
candidacy particularly from
Chandel and Churachandpur
districts, he revealed, while
adding that the party wants
free and fair ADC election and
not selection.
The Shiv Sena state leader
further said that Agnipath
scheme being introduced by
the Narendra Modi government is beneficial for youth
and this will ease problem
faced by job seeker youth in
registration at employment
exchange.
He then appealed to youth
of the state who cleared class
X and class XII examinations
to take advantage of the
scheme.
Later, Shiv Sena state
unit accorded warm welcome to Shantakumar of
Thoubal Leishangthem, Md
Anas Hussain of Yairipok
Ningthounai and Md Rahazuddin of Thoubal Moijing
who joined the party.
