Biswajit negates Cong's claims

Works Minister as well as BJP spokesperson Th Biswajit has clarified that the present BJP State Government has not misused any fund sanctioned for the benefit of the people and accused the Congress party of trying to malign the reputation of the Government.
Speaking to media persons at his office chamber at New Secretariat today, Th Biswajit clarified that not a single amount from the total Rs 29 crore which is earmarked for work process, has been misused by the State Government.
He explained that the budget for the development of block office of the 70 blocks of the State is only Rs 10 crore while the allocated budget for the development of the new districts namely Kakching, Kamjong and Noney districts is Rs 5 crore each and that for Tengnoupal, Pherzawl, Kangpokpi and Jiribam is Rs 1 crore each.
The amounts for Kakching, Kamjong, Tengnoupal, Pherzawl and Jiribam district as well as some blocks have been deposited at 8443 account.
Biswajit said that for Noney district, only Rs 2 crore was deposited to 8443 account as the location for construction works has not been decided.
Likewise, the funds for Kangpokpi and 70 blocks have not been deposited to 8443 account.
It would be wrong for the Congress party to claim that die Government has misused the funds, Biswajit claimed and urged the Congress party to check the figures from the Finance, Planning and Treasury Department if they have any doubt regarding the matter.
He also urged the Congress party to refrain from spreading false information and misleading the public for political gains.
