Imphal, April 17 2018:
With regard to the Manipur Civil Services Combined Competitive (Main) Examinations 20-16, a group of aspirations has opted to wait for the High Court of Manipur's verdict.
Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club here today, Keisham Kishan, representing the group of aspirants, said that the Supreme Court recently issued a ruling stating that the directive passed by the High Court of Manipur with regard to MCSCC (Main) Exams 2016 should not be disturbed.
The order passed by the Supreme Court on April 12 directed that verification (of answer scripts) being done by a committee set up at the behest of the High Court should be completed within six weeks.

The committee would submit a report to the High Court and the High Court may dispose the matter expeditiously, said the Supreme Court order.
Earlier, the High Court of Manipur issued a directive for verification of answer scripts of all candidates who appeared in the MCSCC (Main) Exams 2016 .
Subsequently, a committee was set up.
The same directive was issued after some candidates filed a petition at the High Court which sought quashing of the same examination and initiation of legal proceedings against MPSC officials involved in committing irregularities regarding the same exam.
In response, some successful candidates filed a special leave petition at the Supreme Court which led to the recent intervention by the apex Court, Kishan said.
