MAHUD seeks suggestions on Smart City within Dec 9

Municipal Administration, Housing and Urban Development (MAHUD) Director and Chief Town Planner N Gitkumar on Sunday appealed the people of the State to send in their suggestions and give their feedbacks on the Smart City Mission by December 9.He was speaking at the one-day awareness programme organised in connection with the Smart City by All Manipur Working Journalist Union (AMWJU) at Manipur Press Club, Imphal.
Attending the programme, MAHUD Director N Gitkumar appealed the people of the State to send their suggestions through e-mail or through the form format available at IMC.
"People have suggested that Smart City will be possible only when the public are smart enough," said Gitkumar.
He appealed the State's media to share knowledge and information on what is Smart City.
Gitkumar said the suggestions through media will be evaluated by a panel of judges and the best suggestions will be given a cash prize of Rs 25,000, 20,000 and 15,000 to the the first, second and third position holders respectively.
Imphal Municipal Corporation (IMC) Chief Executive Officer Ng Utam opined the need of people's suggestions and feedbacks in making Imphal as a Smart City.
ISTV News Chief Editor Brojendra Ningomba, AMWJU President Wangkhemcha Shyamjai and Echel Express Editor Irengbam Arun also expressed their opinions.
