Low count continues with 3 new cases

Imphal, April 19 2022:
The State recorded three new Covid cases - one each from Imphal West, Bishnupur and Senapati in the last 24 hours and registered a single day positivity rate of 1 percent as 311 samples were tested in the period.
With this figure, the total number of Covid cases has reached 1,37,201 while the active cases stand at 55 .
The death toll, on the other hand, remains at 2120 as no new Covid deaths were reported in the last 24 hours.
At least one person was released after recuperation from Home Isolation today to take the number of recovered cases to 1,35,026 while the recovery rate is 98.41 per cent, as per COVID-19 Common Control Room.
In terms of Covid beds availability, JNIMS has 299 vacant beds while RIMS has 190 .
Yesterday, the State distributed 487 D-type and 61 B type oxygen cylinders and administered 3213 Covid vaccine doses.
When it comes to vaccination coverage, Kangpokpi fared the worst as the district has fully vaccinated only 16.68 per cent of its eligible population while Ukhrul has administered double dose of Covid vaccine to only 23.88 per cent of its eligible population.
Other districts that have fully vaccinated less than 50 per cent of its eligible citizens include - Kamjong (28 per cent), Senapati (30.12 per cent), Tamenglong (34.23 per cent), Noney (34.45 per cent), Pherzawl (36.45 per cent), Tengnoupal (36.91 per cent) and Thoubal (49.72 per cent) .
Overall, the State has fully vaccinated 50.98 per cent of its population eligible for Covid vaccination while another 61.62 per cent has received at least one dose of vaccine.
