34th Junior State Archery Championship : Moirangthem Baby wins Indian Round gold

Imphal, November 10 2019: Moirangthem Baby of KMAC has won the 40+40 m Indian Round gold at the 34th Junior State Archery Championships being held at EYCA Ground, Porompat under the supervision of Manipur Archery Association.

Moirangthem Baby Devi shot a total of 659 points to finish on top of W Maleshori Devi of BCAC who finished with 648 points and L Sophiya Devi of SAIRC who managed 632 points.

In the 40+40 m Indian Round event for boys, S Robert Singh of ITAC collected 666 points to win the gold while Ch Rishikesh Singh of ACE (665 pts : X+10=26) and L Yohenba of NSA (665 : X+10 = 26) finished second and third to win the silver and bronze medals respectively in a very tight competition.

Team Indian Round
KMAC's team of Moirangthem Baby Devi, Millonia Thokchom, Villenia Thokchom and Yumnam Reshmi Devi claimed the Indian Round team event gold beating NSA team consisting of Sheetal Kumari, S Chinglembi Chanu, S Henthoi Devi and L Twinkle by a margin of 6-0 points.

SAIRC team consisting of L Sophiya, N Sarika and Anjubala finished third to win bronze medal in this event.

KMAC continued to dominate the Indian Round team event for boys as Ch Bison Singh, Laishram Bobby Singh, W Britenjit Singh, Heikrujam Bicky collected 6 points to win the gold against ITAC team comprising of S Robert, O Prem, Ch Nipon Singh and W Sangoisana Meitei which drew blank in the ultimate face off.

BCAC team of Th Heller Singh, L Milan Meitei, Ch Borish and L Olen Singh finished third in the boys' event.

Individual Olympic Round Indian Round Girls
L Sophiya Devi of SAIRC clinched the gold medal in the Individual Olympic Round Indian Round Girls gathering the highest 9 points while Moirangthem Baby of KMAC who shot 5 points in the final round finished second.

Sheetal Kumari of NSA finished third in this event.

Meanwhile in the boys's final round, S Roberth of ITAC beat Ch Rishikesh of ACE by 7-5 points to win the gold medal.

M Chingkhei bagged the bronze medal of this event.
