Medal tally toppers UTA, Keishamthong added four more gold to stretch its total medal haul to 16 at the end of day two of the 6th Governor's Taekwondo Cup Championship at Khuman Lampak Indoor Stadium today.
UTA made a clean sweep of the sub-junior girls below-16 kg competition with L machaleima Chanu, Varoril Das and S Milky winning the top three honours.
Umelly added the second gold medal to the team tally with win in the sub-junior girls under-18 event where Chandrakiran and S Valentina of CTI, Thangmeiband bagged the silver and bronze medal respectively.
BBA opened its gold medal account when L Achaltombi won the sub-junior girls below-26 kg competition where N Helena of CTI, sagolband secured the silver medal and K Pretty (Nagamapal) shared the bronze with UTA's Pushpatolly.
L Pushparani provided Nambol its first gold medal with victory in the junior girls below-42 kg competition, with Ch Nganthoi of SAI RC bagging the silver medal.
The bronze medal went to UTA's Th Bidyarani and RK Bidyarani.
Nambol doubled its gold medal tally with W Jamuna winning the junior girls below-52 kg final against O Memi Chanu of SAI RC.
UTA duo L Bibi Chanu and K Thoibisana shared the bronze.
Th Sunita and Linda Kamei respectively won the senior girls below-46 and below-52 kg class to complete UTA's gold medal haul on the second day.
The championship will conclude on April 3. In boys sub-junior below-23 kg final, Kh Ningthoungamba of TTS-Khoyathong wrested the gold medal as Ajmer Hussien of Marjing pocketed the silver.
UTA and Nagamapal players shared the bronze.
