Manipur's trio of Mayengbam Henthoi Singh, L Lamnganba and Thokchom Supriya punched their way to gold medals in the boxing competition of the Khelo India Youth Games 2024 at Table Tennis Hall, Chennai, Tamil Nadu on Wednesday.
Mayengbam Henthoi Singh outclassed Uttarakhand's Karan Kumar in the final of the men's 57-60kg category, churning out a commanding 5-0 verdict for his gold medal.
L Lamnganba, on the other hand, outdid Delhi's Umesh Kumar 4-1 to claim the gold medal in the men's 51-54kg category.
In the women's event, Thokchom Supriya was the lone gold medallist for Manipur.
She overpowered Uttar Pradesh's Babita Singh 5-0 in their summit clash in the 52-54kg category.

In fencing, the state women's foil team of T Mangaleibi, H Bala, L Thoithoi and M Geetarani bagged bronze medal.
