Medical camp, competitions organised

Imphal, January 24 2024:
Assam Rifles in coordination withthe district administration organised mobile medical camp in remote border villages namely Namlee, Wanglee, Kenching, K Asang Khullen, Makan, Punamram and Kangum, all under Kasom Khullen subdivision in Kamjong district on Monday and Tuesday.
According to PRO IGAR (S), the two-day medical camps proved to be a beacon of health for 400 villagers and 200 Burmese refugees residing in far flung border areas under Kasom Khullen sub-division, providing them essential medication including general health check-ups and health and diet improvement tips.
Concurrently, Assam Rifles also organised drawing and essay competitions on the theme of this year s Republic Day "India - Mother of Democracy" and "Viksit Bharat," at Event Paozagen Memorial English School on Wednesday.
The event was organised to encourage young talent and instil in them the importance of Republic Day, thereby fostering a sense of patriotism, the PRO added.
