Medical team of 21 Assam rifles saved the life of a man bitten by a venomous snake on June 4, said a PRO IGAR (S) release that identified the individual as Mr Shalla 925) of Waikhong village in Thoubal district.
The victim brought to the unit Hospital by his relatives in a critical condition at around 4.15 pm was immediately administered anti-snake venom by medical officers before being referred to RIMS for further treatment, the PRO added.
Meanwhile, troops of 12 Maratha LI organised a memory contest for children of Diviners School at Kwakeithel today wherein about 60 students from the school participated.
Post the contest a high tea was organised for the students and staff of the School apart from an interaction session aimed at promoting cordial relationships, a PRO IGAR (S) release said.
