Imphal, July 12:
Vehicular movement on NH 39 which came to a standstill following heavy mudslide at many points between Keithelmabi and Bongmol since yesterday resumed this evening around 4 following clearing of the road by the authorities.
Mention may be made here that many residential houses and including that of the village headman of Gopibung were swept away during the mudslide besides damaging some portion of two school buildings.
Meanwhile, landslides near Tadubi and Lairou have also been partially repaired and passenger buses are passing through the affected area only after unloading all the passengers and goods.
However goods laden trucks are still being stranded in the area due to the slushy condition of the road.
