Imphal, October 03 2015 : To commemorate breast cancer awareness month, Shija Breast and Thyroid Clinic, Shija Hospitals organised a breast cancer awareness programme in association with MO (i/c), CHC, Nambol at the conference hall of CHC, Nambol.

According to a statement, Dr Ajit Lukram, consultant, Shija Breast and Thyroid Clinic delivered a lecture on breast cancer- its searly detection, self examination, diagnosis, stages, types and treatment.

MOs, nurses and staff of the CHC including ASHA workers.

The awareness programme was followed by a free consultation and screening for breast and thyroid.

Altogether, 40 patients were screened during the camp, it added.
