Thoubal, July 17 2019: Moirangthem Ratan, Convenor, School Management Committee (SMC) of Khangabok Meisnam Upper Primary School urged the Education Department and the authority concerned to revoke the order of merging Khangabok Meisnam Upper Primary School with Khangabok Awang Upper Primary School considering the plight of the students hailing from poor families while commuting to the new place.

In a press meet held at Khangabok Meisnam Upper Primary School in Khangabok Part II Meisnam Leikai, Moirangthem Ratan said that more than 50 students are studying in said school and they will face hardship in commuting to the new location which is more than 2 km away from the current school as most of them come from economically weak families.
