Manipur Network of Positive People (MNP+) today expressed gratitude to All Manipur Recognised Private Schools Welfare Association's decision to waive off 50 percent of fee from the admission/tuition/boarding fees for children (student) living with and affected by HIV/AIDS.
Manipuri Students' Federation (MSF) had requested the Association for effecting the same.
MNP+ praised the various social organizations and government departments for helping to arrive at the decision.
In a statement issued today by MNP+ said that it would go a long way in fighting against HIV transmission and overcoming stigma and discrimination faced by the people living with HIV/AIDS in the state.
It gave hearty gratitude to the mutual understanding of MSF and All Manipur Recognised Private Schools Welfare Association for their tireless effort to make a meaningful society.
