While alleging that the alleged penalization of UNNACO for misdoing in loan recovery drive from an individual by Consumers' Club Manipur was a deed to defame, the loan provider disclosed that the case is now pending with Gauhati High Court.
The case which charged UNNACO of recovery loan amount in excess from the loanee is currently fighting with the Consumers' Redressal Forum and the court is yet to give its ruling, legal advisor of UNNACO advocate L Okendro said to reporters today clarifying the matter.
He revealed that in month of May, 2008 one Keithellakpam Diren of Nambol Balram Khul afforded an Activa Honda on loan from the loan provider.
But, a complaint was filed to the Consumers' Club by the loanee with the charge of trying to collect money excessively from him.
Not satisfied with the ruling of the Consumers' Dressal Forum directing UNNACO to refund the excess amount allegedly collected, they lodged complaint with Gauhati as civil suit on June 7 of this year.
In the meantime, a accusation case was filed with the redressal forum by the Consumers' Club for not refunding the amount as per the order of the forum asking its authority concern to appear in the court of the forum on July 15 .
They are getting ready to produce the order of the high court on that day, he said.
