Imphal, July 07 2010:
Along with formation of All Manipur DPC Faced Association for Primary Teachers, 2006, the Association has demanded CBI inquiry into how the recruitment results of primary teachers have leaked from the Government file.
Addressing a press conference in this connection at Manipur Press Club here today, Association president Th Subhas questioned how the information from a Government file could be leaked out and got published in a newspaper and observed that the Committee headed by the Chief Secretary as chairman would never be able to find the truth.
So, the case should be handed over to an independent investigating agency like the CBI.
Publication of the results in a newspaper after a taking a long time in declaration of the DPC conducted for the recruitment of primary teachers has created confusion among the candidates and it has raised the suspicion of corruption in the whole recruitment process, Subhas said.
Observing that Education Minister L Jayantakumar himself was once an eminent justice, Subhas appealed for doing proper justice in the case and conduct a fresh DPC.
The Governor of Manipur should also not remain silent over the issue and take up necessary measures for resolving it, he added.
