Another Indian Army soldier from manipur has laid down his live fighting militancy in Jammu and Kashmir.
An informed source said, Sahani Lohri from Mao Bungdung village in Senapati district was among three soldiers killed in an encounter with a group of Lashkar-e-Toiba militants in Planakanthol-Lambibari forest area in Kandi Bhudal belt of Rajouri district.
The shoot-out between pakistan-based Let terrorists and a combined force of Army and J&K police for over 48 hours ended yesterday.
Four LeT militants were also eliminated in the encounter.
Confirming the report, a PIB (DW) source said sahani Lohri was a lance naik of the 60th Rashtriya Rifles.
Sahani's mortal remains is expected to be brought to Imphal Airport tomorrow where the 57 Mountain Division GOC Maj Gen DS Hooda would lead top Army officers in offering salutation to the slain soldier.
