GOC visits Moreh

Lieutenant General HS Sahi, General Officer Commanding (GOC) Spear Corps, visited the Assam Rifles Battalion at Moreh town, Tengnoupal district and undertook a comprehensive security review, said PIB Defence Wing.
During this visit, HS Sahi engaged in a comprehensive interaction with members of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) wherein, aspects of early normalcy were discussed.
The visit was aimed at enhancing coordination, understanding the ground realities, and fostering open communication channels between the military leadership and operational units.
Notably, Lieutenant General HS Sahi's visit came amid intensified attacks on security forces stationed at Moreh by armed Kuki militants.
Yesterday, Lieutenant General HS Sahi visited the Red Shield Division and carried out a comprehensive review of the Division's operational readiness and its role in Manipur.
He commended the performance and contributions of the officers and soldiers of the Division during various operations in Manipur.
Lieutenant General HS Sahi acknowledged the pivotal role of the Division for ensuring National security and appreciated the unwavering commitment to operational tasks, said the PIB Defence Wing.
During the visit, Lieutenant General HS Sahi inaugurated a newly constructed Amrit Sarovar, symbolizing a new chapter in the Division's contribution towards National initiative of 'Rejuvenating Water Bodies' .
His visit emphasized the Division's dedication to adapting to changing security dynamics.
The Corps Commander's directives on preparedness and training represent a notable milestone in the Division's commitment and role towards sustaining operational excellence and enhancing the Nation's security, said PIB Defence Wing.
