State scribes briefed on central schemes Bhopal

A team of journalists from the state, who are on a five-day press tour in Madhya Pradesh, took part in a meeting held via video conferencing for the beneficiaries of VBSY in Bhopal.
Five state journalists including Longjam Arishrona of The People's Chronicle are in Madhya Pradesh as part of the VBSY organised jointly by PIB Imphal and Bhopal under the aegis of Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
The programme was held in Bhopal in the presence of Madhya Pradesh chief minister Dr Mohan Yadav.
The five Manipuri scribes also interacted with the VBSY beneficiaries of Bhopal, during which one Babynanda of Bhopal ward number 132 said that she is beneficiary of schemes including PM Ujjwala Yojana, PM Svanidi, PM Ayushman Bharat and Ladli Behna Yojna.
The schemes are helping her run the family, pay electric bills and send children to schools, she informed, thanking the government initiative.
Stating that one need not worry about availing ben efits of the schemes, Babynanda explained that government officials helped her understand and enrol for the schemes.
Therefore, the public should approach relevant officials for better understanding of people-centric schemes launched by the government.
After the programme, the state journalists guided by PIB Bhopal team led by its media and communication officer Premchandra Gupta, visited Bhimbetka Rock Shelters in Amchha Khurd, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Earlier, before the interaction programme with the VBSY beneficiaries, the state journalists were felicitated at the PIB Bhopal office by deputy director Satyendra Sharan.
During the function, Satyendra briefed the media team about the tour, and said that under the VBSY, the government is trying to extend to the public all benefits of various schemes of the central government.
