Kakchingtabam Gunachandra's 'Kabaw Tampak Aeikhoigini' released

The book release function of 'Kabaw Tampak Aeikhoigini' written by Kakchingtabam Gunachandra Sharma was held today at Oja Naorem Sanajaoba Public Library Hall located opposite Manipur University Main Gate.
The ceremony was organised by National Research Centre (NRC) Manipur and witnessed the attendance of Professor N Rajmuhon, Vice Chancellor DM University as the chief guest; Thongam Ajit, president, NRC as the functional president and Professor N Joykumar, Vice Chancellor, Khongnangthaba University as the guest of honour.
Meanwhile Nameirakpam Brajakanta, faculty member, Manipur University Department of Law presented the introudcution to the book.
Speaking as the chief guest Professor Rajmuhon, stated that the book will greatly benefit the people of Manipur.
It is necessary for the youth of today and futrue generations to be aware that the territory of Manipur used to extend beyond the current boundary.
It is to emphasize this point that Kakchingtabam Gunachandra Sharma authored this book "Kabaw Tampak Aeikhoigini", he maintained.
The DM University VC also stressed on the need for writers to publish more books giving historical accounts and stories of Manipur, while strongly reasoning that it is important for Manipuris to be aware of their own past.
Meanwhile, Thongam Ajit, president, NRC spoke about the significance of releasing "Kabaw Tampak Aeikhoigini" on Reconsolidation Day, a historic day commemorating the death anniversary of Maharaja Gambhir Singh who liberated Manipur and drove out the Burmese invaders.
In the midst of this conflict, he advocated for peaceful co-existence and unity among the people.
