CCpur SP appeals people not to panic

SP (Churachandpur) Karthik Malladi has said that adequate security forces have been deployed at Kangvai, Torbung Bangla and nearby areas to tackle any kind of threat to law and order.
Addressing media persons at his office on Tuesday, Karthik said additional personnel of district police and Central forces including Army and Assam Rifles have been deployed at Kangvai, Torbung Bangla and nearby areas to thwart any attempt to destabilise the existing law and order situation.
Adequate forces have also been deployed at Khousabung clusters, Sangaikot and Samulamlan areas to maintain law and order in the areas, he said and appealed people not to be panic.
Any kind of disturbance to destabilise law and order situation in district border will be taken care of as several teams of district police, CRPF, BSF, ITBP, RAF, Army and Assam Rifles have been deployed to maintain law and order, Karthik Malladi informed and thanked public for extending support and cooperation to district administration for maintaining law and order in the district.
He said that exchange of fire and attempts to disrupt law and order in fringe areas of the district have subsided and forces deployed in the district could prevent disturbances to law and order situation.
According to Karthik Malladi, Churachandpur district administration is coordinating with officials of neighbouring districts of Kakching and Bishnupur with regard to deployment of forces deployed on the other side.
He also said that regular meetings are being held so that any kind of mobilisation on either side of Churachandpur or Bishnupur could be taken care of and public do not come close to district borders.
In view of expected movement of people towards Kangvai area, Karthik Malladi appealed people of the district to remain calm and not to mobilise towards Torbung Bangla, S Kotlian or Torbung bazar.
He also said that four companies of CAPF have been deployed beyond Kangvai and three more companies of CAPF on eastern and western sides of Kangvai to Torbung Bangla.
