Scholarship paves way for higher education of 24 students

Twenty four students have left Imphal for New Delhi, Punjab and Hyderabad to study medical, engineering, technical, nontechnical, management, para medical, education and other diploma courses in selected institutions under the scholarship scheme jointly launched by Euro 2 Asia Corporate and Tomthin Group in 2019.These 24 young aspirants mark the fifth batch of students whose educational fees have been covered under the scholarship to study various trades in institutions approved by AICTE, MHRT, PCI, NCTE and INC/techni-cal universities under the State and Central Government.
Flagging off the hopeful students from Imphal International Airport today, Euro 2 Asia Corporate Managing Director Abdul Noor said that this fifth batch of students will not be charged any admission or tuition fees at their respective education institutions.
The students will pay a sum of roughly Rs 6000/7000 as hostel fees, examination and semester fees every month.
The first batch of students were flagged off by Rajya Sabha MP and titular king of Manipur, Leisemba Sanajaoba in 2019.With the help of the scholarship, exceptional Class X, XII and graduate students from economically poor backgrounds will be given the opportunity to study various trades and change their lives, he said.
