Ram Muivah condoles Shishak

Ukhrul AC MLA Ram Muivah has condoled the demise of former Chairperson of Manipur Human Rights Commission Justice WA Shishak.
Justice Shishak was not only an eminent Jurist, Judge and an orator but also a conscience keeper of the Tangkhuls, said MLA Ram Muivah in his condolence message.
Justice Shishak died at RIMS Hospital, Imphal on August 3 .
He was 82 .
Justice Shishak shot to fame among the Nagas in 1972 when he was the interpreter of Dr Billy Graham in the Naga Christian Centenary Crusade held in Kohima.
During his long practice of Law, and especially when he was the High Court Judge in Gauhati High Court, Imphal Branch and later on as Chief Justice of the High Court in Chhattisgarh and Himachal Pradesh, he passed landmark judgements especially on the rights of the tribal people, said MLA Ram Muivah.
An outstanding quality of Justice Shishak was his courage and conviction to speak up against the evils in the society regardless of consequences or risk to his life.
In the Tangkhul society, Shishak's family is an exceptional one.
All the five Shishak brothers and their only sister, Khathingla shine in their respective fields and they have reached the pinnacle in their respective careers in the field of Education, Engineering and Medicine, said Ram Muivah.
"In the passing away of Justice Shishak, the Tangkhuls, Manipur and Nagas have lost one of its tallest sons and an irreplaceable man.
I convey my deepest condolences to his wife madam Rialenno Shishak and his children.
My heart goes out to the bereaved family at this moment of grief and sorrow," expressed Ram Muivah.
