Imphal, July 09 2023: Joint Action Coordination Commit-tee (JACC), Laipham Khunou, Imphal East on Sunday extended essential items to village volunteers at Kanglatongbi Bazar in Imphal West district.

The items including edibles, drinking water and medicines were handed over to the volun-teers and representatives of local youth clubs and Meira Paibi groups.

JACC also extended monetary assistance of Rs 10,000 to village volunteers at Konsantabi in Kakching district.

Brahmapur Holi Dal, Imphal East also pro-vided financial assistance to volunteers and Meira Paibi activists guarding Khamran Khul under Khonghampat Gram Panchayat in Imphal West district.

Ram Lal Paul 1990-91 matric batch also pro-vided essential items to relief camps set up at Birmangol College Sawombung, Kadangband Part-II, Koutruk and Koutruk Mayai Leikai.

Meanwhile, a sum of Rs 23,050 was donated to Relief Committee JNIMS from June 24 till July 8 .

The donors include Hanzala of Hatta, Manipur Sahitya Parishad Hojai, Seram Yaisha Singh of Nongmeibung and The Platform Coaching Centre cum Boarding Khabam Lamkhai.

So far, the Relief Committee has assisted treat-ment of 694 people injured in the ethnic conflict till July 8 .

Of the injured seven succumbed.

In a release, it informed that 49 babies were delivered in the hospital while committee spent Rs 5,01,255 in purchasing medicines for the injured people.
