AR organises COVID-19 awareness drive at various places

Noney Battalion under the aegis of Headquarters 22 Sector Assam Rifles and Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) organised a 'COVID-19 Awareness Drive' at Taobam village, Noney district on July 21.The awareness drive was conducted to spread awareness on the resurgence of COVID-19, to disseminate the DO's and Don'ts including importance of social distancing and vaccination.
The villager were also sensitized on adherence to the guidelines of COVID-19 to restrict the community spread and encouraged to undergo Covid vaccination.
A lecture on vaccination was also held to educate them about precautionary measures.
A total of 35 persons from Taobam area attended the awareness programme.
Likewise, 44 Assam Rifles under the aegis of 22 Sector Assam Rifles IGAR(East) also organized a COVID Awareness Programme in Tamenglong town on July 22 .
The unit displayed vehicle mounted posters aiming at spreading more awareness at following COVID appropriate behaviours and getting vaccinated.
The vehicle traversed through various roads and bylanes of the town in its endeavour to reach out to society even better than before.
Similarly, Moreh Battalion under the aegis of IGAR(South) conducted a Covid awareness drive in collaboration with District Administration, police and Covid Task Force in Moreh and surrounding villages on July 21.The drive was organised with an aim to spread awareness about Covid resurgence to the locals of Moreh town and border villages, said a statement of IGAR(S) .
The medical team provided basic knowledge about detecting early symptoms of COVID-19 and the actions to be taken thereafter.
