AR organises medical camp, motivational lecture

Assam Rifles conducted a medical camp at a relief camp set up at Serou in Kakching district.
In a release, PRO IGAR (S) said it had come to its notice that internally displaced persons (IDPs) including children of Serou relief camp were facing challenges in respect of availability of proper medical care.
Understanding the urgent requirement of providing medical facility, AR treated and provisioned 35 occupants with medicines at the medical camp, thereby addressing emergent issues.
Meanwhile, AR rescued a snake bite victim at Serou village in Kakching district, according to the PRO.
Around 6.45 pm Tuesday, one Dinesh Singh (23) of Serou was going home from Serou market when he was bitten by a snake on his right leg.
The troops of AR deployed near the market rushed to the scene and swiftly evacuated the victim to the Assam Rifles medical facility at Sugnu where he was administered first aid and antidote to the snake bite.
The release further mentioned that due to the timely evacuation and administering of the anti-dote the condition of the victim stabilised soon.
Meanwhile, Assam Rifles organised a motivational lecture at B Bongjang village, Moreh on Tuesday in an effort to inspire the youth of Manipur.
In a release, the PRO informed that the initiative brought together approximately 30-35 young boys from the neighbouring villages of H Mongjang, B Bongjang and Jangnoi.
During the lecture, benefits of serving in the armed forces and various pathways for youth to join the armed forces were outlined.
Through practical insights and real-world examples, the lecture aimed to kindle ambition and redirect the focus of these young minds towards constructive avenues.
Following the lecture, attendees also enjoyed a motivational movie, added the PRO.
