The programme aims to provide a therapeutic outlet for children affected by the ongoing conflict in the region, offering them an opportunity to express their emotions, hopes, and dreams through art.
According to a release, the participants were provided with a set of art supplies, including oil pastels, pencils, erasers, and drawing paper.
Additional materials such as notebooks, geometry boxes, and sanitary products were also distributed to the children.
From the competition, 21 children will be selected for a month-long mentorship programme led by the IMA Foundation.
Their artwork wiH subsequently be auctioned to raise funds for the continued support of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Manipur.
Radha Binod Sharma, London-based founder of the IMA Foundation, remarked, "Colour with creativity and positivity can powerfully generate energy.
I am very excited to be part of this initiative and look forward to reviewing the paintings and mentoring the children in the coming weeks" .
The MKF credited the success of the event to the generous support of Camel and Roy Fine Art, alongside key contributions from the MKF team, relief camp staff, and volunteers.
