For developing the software, the High Court sane tioned administrative and financial approval of Rs 16.52 lakh on June 6 .
The software will be developed under the artificial intelligence project of the high court with an objective to improve dissemination of information to the general public.
The state has been facing challenges in dissemination of legal knowledge and information.
Translation of judgment of High Court and Supreme Court is an important measure in this regard as it will help those, who do not understand English, get the right information thereby filling the gap between judiciary and public.
The software is meant to translate judicial documents without human translation so that public, especially litigants can get a better grab of the legal documents without the need for explanation from a lawyer.
Apart from developing the software, the project also involves training of high court staff in the field of latest technology and artificial intelligence.
