HC seeks affidavit on July 4

The High Court of Manipur has asked the Principal Secretary (Home), Bishnupur SP and Officer-in-charge of Moirang police station to file an affidavit regarding the death of a 34 year old youth inside a family quarter of a Moirang police station on July 4 .
Originally from Khumujamba Meitei Leikai in Churachandpur district, Mutum Roshan Mangang was found dead inside the family quarter of Moirang police station on June 9 (7 am).
Reportedly, the quarter is currently occupied by one ASI Huirem Mangilal.
Moirang police have also taken up an FIR pertaining to the incident.
Not satisfied with the pace of the investigation, brother of the deceased Mutum Yoiremba (28) filed a writ petition (C) to the High Court with the State of Manipur represented by Principal Secretary (Home), Bishnupur SP and Officer-in-charge of Moirang police station as respondents.
Reportedly, the petitioner requested the High Court to issue a writ of mandamus to all the respondents and to hand over the mortal remains to the family.
Today, Acting Chief Justice MV Muralidaran heard both the petitioner represented by M Ibohal and respondent represented by GA Shyam Sharma.
After hearing both the parties, the Court asked the respondents to file the affidavit on July 4 .
