Imphal, October 21 2008: Cracking the mystery surrounding the murder of a cadre of the proscribed KYKL at Delhi on October 4, Delhi police have arrested two accused, Satender alias Tinu of Jhroda Kalan, New Delhi and Devender alias Shooter of Panipat, Israna district under Gawalda police station and identified three other accomplices as Narender of Chappar village, Jhajjar district, Haryana, Pradeep alias Balli and RK a cadre of the KYKL.

In a statement Deputy Commissioner of Police, South West District, Delhi, said that the KYKL man, O Juge Singh alias Wangba Khuman was killed at the instigation of his deputy, RK who contacted Satender alias Tinu in the first week of September and asked him to eliminate O Juge Singh alias Wangba Khuman.

RK introduced himself as a deputy of Wangba, said the statement and added that he offered Satender Rs 10 lakhs for the job and paid Rs 6 lakhs in advance.

Satender who is involved in teak business already had a grouse against Wangba, said the DCP and quoting from his admission during interrogation said that Wangba had taken Rs Rs 8 lakhs from him (Satender) to release a truck load of teak earlier impounded by the KYKL.

RK had told Satender that he wanted Wangba eliminated as he wanted his post.

After the money changed hands, Satender contacted Narender who he had met while in Rohtak jail in connection with a dacoity case.

Narender then hired Pradeep alias Balli and Devender alias Shooter.

However before Wangba was killed, Narender wanted to settle a score with two neighbours and accordingly Satender provided them one Santro car and two weapons, said the police officer and after killing the two neighbours on October 10, they stayed in the house of Satender at Jharoda Kalan.

On the same night, they received a call from RK who informed that Wangba was at Mukherjee Nagar.

Satender and RK met near Batra Hall at Mukherjee Nagar and they went to the house where Wangba was staying.

Posing as Crime Branch officials, the accused took Wangba to the fields of Mundhela Kalan and told him to get down from the car.

Sensing trouble, Wangba ran towards the pond but was over powered and killed, said the DCP.

The DCP also gave a detailed account of how they zeroed in on Satender and how he broke down during interrogation and admitted to the killing of Wangba.

On the disclosure of Satender, Devender alias Shooter was arrested.

The other absconding persons are Narender, Pradeep alias Balli and RK of Manipur.
