Imphal, October 21 2008:
Taking serious note of the indefinite economic blockade being imposed by the written test qualified candidates for Primary teachers, the Thadou Students' Association, Sadar Hills has appealed to the Government and the Department concerned to look into the issue and take up necessary actions at the earliest.
In a press release, the TSA urged upon the authority concerned to conduct interview/viva-voce and complete other formalities of the Primary teacher recruitment process which has been kept suspended for a protracted period.
Failure to initiate necessary process would constrain the student body to take up its own course of action in support of the genuine cause of the Primary teacher candidates, it cautioned.
The TSA, Sadar Hills also reminded of the MoU signed between the Government and its representatives in presence of the Education Minister on October 27, last year.
