REACH-M donates, IRCS plans health camps

Kakching, June 22 2023:
With the help of ActionAid Association India, Rural Education and Action for Change Manipur (REACH-M) Nungou-rak, Pallel donated essential items worth Rs 5 lakh to relief camps set up at Kakching higher Secondary school and Wangjing Kodompokpi Sports Complex.
A team of REACH-M led by chief functionary M Moses Maring visited the camps and handed over the items to organisations manning them.
The donated items include rice, Dal, cooking oil, Ngari, Soybean Chunk, sugar, salt, sanitary napkin, bathing soap, detergent soap, tooth brush, tooth paste, plastic bucket, plastic mug, mosquito net, tarpaulin and
plastic mat.
Expressing grief over the killing and destruction of properties on both sides involved in the violence, M Moses called for holding dialogue between the two communities to restore peace and normalcy.
On the other-hand, India Red Cross Society (IRCS), Manipur Branch in collaboration with IRCS, Kakching District Branch will organise health camp to provide psychologi cal support, treatment, etc., at relief camps set up at Kha Manipur College, Wabagai Higher Secondary School and Langmeidong Higher Secondary School on June 25 for the displaced people.
In a release, IRCS Kakching advised committees running the relief camps to facilitate attendance of the riot-af-fected people in the said programme.
