Jiribam, June 22 2023:
All Jiri Meetei Christian Association (AJMCA) has strongly asserted that the Association will always oppose any elements that seek to threaten the territorial integrity of Manipur.
A statement issued by Yumkhaibam Binoy Singh, president, AJMCA has assured that the Meetei Christian community in Jiribam are on the side of Manipur.
Asserting that the ongoing conflict is not religious in nature, AJMCA strongly denounced any efforts seeking to paint the conflict in a religious light.
AJMCA also urged all the MLAs to be united and deliver the demands of the people to the Central leaders.
Further, it expressed hope that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister N Biren Singh are working tirelessly to contain the crisis.
Separately, AJMCA donated essential items to the three relief camps in Jiribam district set up at Sorok Atingbi High School, Jirighat High School and at the office of a student union.
The relief materials include eggs, tea leaves, dettol soap, detergent and papad etc.
