SFs rescue Meetei man

Imphal, February 07 2024:
Security forces rescued a Meetei man, who was attempting to cross the buffer zone in Gamgiphai area under Kangpokpi district on Tuesday around 2pm and safely handed him over to Sekmai Police Station.
The man has been identified as Pran Singh Thongram (51) s/o Budhi of Wangbal.
Pran works at a shop, Khomai Furniture House at Kanglatongbi Bazar.
According to police report, a combined team of 22 Assam Rifles and CRPF detained a Meetei man who was attempting to cross the buffer zone and moved towards Motbung around 2pm on Tuesday.
On receiving news of the detention, a team of 22 Assam Rifles arrived at the spot and safely brought out the man from the area.
He was then handed over to Sekmai PS around 10am on Wednesday, who then handed him over to Awang Sekmai Meira Paibi members.
