22 gold-medal bouts decided on Day 9 of 1st Governor's Cup Boxing Championship

As many as 22 gold-medal bouts were decided in the 1st Governor's Cup Boxing Championship at the Khuman Lampak Boxing Arena on Wednesday.
18 boxers in the junior competition (boys & girls) and four in the girls' school age group walked home with gold medals as the inaugural Governor's Cup Boxing Championship entered its ninth day on Wednesday.
Among the gold medallists in the junior event in different weight categories were Chingrihor Shatshang (-48kg), Mutum Nikison Meitei (-50kg), Thoumujam Paikhomba Meitei (-52kg), Amom Maipaksana Meitei (-54kg), Moirangthem Yaikhomba Singh (-57kg), Moirangthem Punshiba Singh (-60kg), Leimapokpam Binod Kumar Singh (-63kg), Prabin Naorem (-75kg), Khoisnam Barun Meitei (80+kg), KiranChingakham ( 46kg), Loitongbam Bidya Devi (-48kg), Ningthoujam Anjali Devi (-50kg), Luwangleima Soram (-52kg), Menaka Sharungbam (-54kg), Yumnam Niha Devi (-57kg), Phairembam Kamala Devi (-60kg), and Tekcham Neeha Devi (-63kg) .
On the other hand, the top finishers in the girls' school age event on Day 9 were Khaidem Manganthoi Chanu (-48kg), Singsa W Shimray (-50kg), Aheibam Soniya Devi (-52kg), and Naorem Artina Devi (-57kg) .
