Training for first spring census conducted

The state government has conducted state-level and district-level training programmes for the First Spring Census at the State Hydrological Data Centre Building under the water resources department on Friday.
The training was led by superintending engineer and nodal officer for the First Spring Census B Govind Sharma, along with his technical team.
The session was held in the presence of additional chief engineer K Kiran Singh, who emphasised the importance of the census in guiding future planning and policy decisions.
The First Spring Census aims to collect crucial data on demographic trends, socio-economic conditions, and environmental factors during the spring season.
The findings from this census will play a pivotal role in shaping policy formulation and development planning for the state.
The training programme was attended by district level officers (DLOs) and block level officers (BLOs) concerned, including officials at the level of executive engineer and assistant engineer, as well as participants joining through video conferencing.
The session focused on census methodologies, digital data collection tools, and best practices for ensuring data accuracy and reliability.
During the training, officials were guided on data collection methodologies, digital data entry, and maintaining accuracy throughout the process.
The importance of public participation and cooperation was also highlighted to ensure a smooth and effective enumeration process.
The water resources department has urged the public to extend full cooperation to the enumerators to ensure accurate and reliable data collection.
The department remains committed to using the census findings for evidence-based policymaking and the holistic development of the state.
