Slogan neither fills stomach nor generates employment: MPYCC

Manipur Pradesh Youth Congress Committee (MPYCC) president Wahengbam Anand pointed out that chief minister N Biren should know that slogan neither fills empty stomach nor generates employment for the unemployed youth.
He made the statement during a press conference held at Congress Bhawan here on Tuesday in connection with the announcement of 5th edition of North East Youth Convention to be organised by Indian Youth Congress (IYC) from January 16-17 at Agartala.
Young India ke Bol (Your Voice, India's future) season 5 was also launched alongside the press conference.
Speaking to media persons, Anand questioned the silence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Manipur issue.

The beautiful slogans of BJP government never gave a kilo of rice to the poor people of Manipur.
Chief minister N Biren Singh needs to know that slogans neither fill empty stomach, nor provide jobs or ease the problems face by the youth.
The government should bear the responsibility of the troubling situation in the state which severely affected its people, he added.
IYC is giving an opportunity to the people of Manipur to voice out resentment and miseries of the people, he said, while appealing to the youth to take such opportunity and raise their voice for the future of the state.
It is high time to jointly stand together against the present ruling government, he added.
Informing that more than 15,000 youths below 35 years of age enrolled in MPYCC during its enrolment cum election programme conducted in a short interval of time, he continued, while adding that many more are waiting to enrol in it.
Anand further said that youth from North-East will participate in the North East Youth Convention to discuss for the development of the region adding that MPYCC delegates will also take part in the convention.
