Farmers advised to follow Covid SOPs

Kakching, July 21 2021: In view of increasing Covid-19 positive cases, Kakching district police started giving awareness to the people so as to ensure strict adherence to Covid-19 SOP guidelines while going for cultivation and washing clothes and bathing in rivers and community ponds.

Kakching SP Victoria Yengkhom said that the district police carried out the awareness programme with the use of PA system to encourage the people mandatorily wear face mask while going for cultivation, not to ride together in excess in a vehicle, not to gather in groups while having snacks during breaks from their work, not to wash and bath collectively in rivers and community ponds so as to prevent spread of Covid-19.While urging the people to maintain social distancing norms, the district police appealed to people to stop going for fishing for a while.

Victoria further informed that local clubs, organisations and public leaders are extending their support to the awareness campaign by continuing in their respective localities.
