Outreach prog on SVEEP organised

A one-day Integrated Communication and Outreach Programme (ICOP) on Systematic Voter's Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) was organised for residents of the Rice Research Station, Khangabok relief camp on Saturday.
As a part of the programme presided over by relief camp convener Th Nabakumar Singh, the camp residents were advised to submit ID form to the district election officer (DEO) in order to join the democratic exercise vis-a-vis the upcoming lok Sabha election.
Components of EVM and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) were also discussed at the event followed by a spot quiz competition for the camp residents and distribution of prizes including flasks, iron press and essentials materials to the winners.
Registered troupe of Central Bureau of Communication, Regional Office, Imphal (CBC, RO, Imphal) namely Poklen Pokpa Artistes' Association, Imphal also presented a play titled 'Nonglakki Thawan Michak' on the occasion.
CBC, RO, Imphal also organised one-day ICOP on SVEEP at Khongjom Standard English School on Sunday with school administrator L Shaktidhar Singh presiding over the programme wherein the student participants were elaborated on ethical and informed voting, cVIGIL App, Saksham App, toll-free number 1950, EVM and VVPAT, universal adult franchise, voter's registration, houses of the parliament and urged to spread the message to family and friends.
A quiz competition was also conducted and mementos and certificates distributed to the position winners.
