Take action against culprits: DDM

Disable Development Association Manipur (DDM) has cautioned of launching intense agitations in case authority concerned do not process legal action in connection with the death of Nongthombam Ingocha (54) s/o (L) N Mani, who was found murdered at his residence in Langthabal Lep Mayai Leikai on March 6 .
Addressing a joint press meet held with State Platform of Persons with Disabilities at Manipur Press Club here Sunday, DDM advisor Dr Kiran Yendrebam said that Ingocha was a PwD and questioned why the Manipur State Human Rights Commission and State Commission for Persons With Disabilities have not yet registered a sou moto case when a PwD had been murdered in such a brutal manner.
The advisor then demanded strict punishment for the culprits involved in the crime.
State Platform of Persons with Disabilities chief advisor Dr Jasobanta expressed shock over one of the murder suspect being identified as police personnel.
He questioned how the people are supposed to trust the police to protect them when they are alleged to be involved in such crimes.
