Ukhrul, August 26 2023:
Outer MP Dr Lorho S Pfoze, while interacting with a team of Ukhrul media at Forest Guest house at Phungreitang, Ukhrul, expressed his confidence in resolving the long pending Naga political issue at the earliest.
The MP stated he has strong expectation of a positive outcome from the Government of India on the peace talk that has resumed.
The Government has started talking more about the core issues particularly the demand for separate Flag and Constitution of the Nagas, he said.

Both the parties (Naga leaders and Indian Government) have to understand each other and work together to sort out the differences for an amicable solution, he added.
The MP also expressed his concern over the prevailing situation in Manipur.
The present ethnic conflict between the Meiteis and Kukis in Manipur has lingered on for more than three months now.
The crisis has impacted all the communities of the State, said Dr Lorho and expressed his hope that the Centre will act wisely and not allow such type of violence in the State to continue further.
"The Nagas have strong concern for all.
We have taken our own stand built on our long standing vision and aspiration, and we have reiterated our position.
This time, the Government of India has resumed the Naga peace talk with much seriousness for an honourable settlement," said Dr Lorho.
The MP further stated that he has adopted more than five mandated model villages under his Constituency.
The principle of the adoption is to benefit the villagers although there is "no specific fund" allocated.
The adopted villagers can pursue all available schemes from the line departments, he said.
Dr Lorho also informed that he has visited the relief camp at Litan Sareikhong on his way to Ukhrul and interacted with the displaced persons and the village chiefs.
He was very sad to see the conditions of the displaced people.
The displaced people need immediate special attention.
They need food, water and medicine, he said.
The MP extended financial aid to the displaced people.
