'Swachhata Hi Seva' observed across state

As in other parts of India, the mega cleanliness drive 'Ek Tareekh Ek Ghanta Ek Saath' (One Date One Hour Together), activity under the 'Swachhata Hi Seva' campaign launched by Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, was carried out across the state on Sunday.
Here in the capital city, Department of MAHUD in coordination with officials and staffers of Imphal Municipal Corporation conducted mass cleanliness drive at BT Park, Imphal main market and its adjoining areas.
Led by Thoubal district deputy commissioner Ahanthem Subhash Singh, officials and staffers of the district administration conducted cleanliness drive at the office premises and surrounding areas of the DC office complex as a tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on the eve of his birth anniversary.
Urban local bodies of Thou bal district including Thoubal Municipal Council, Lilong Municipal Council along with Ideal Youth Club, Narankonjin Mamang Leikai and Sikhong Sekmai Municipal Council organised clean-up activities at markets, streets, neighbourhood, tourist locations, religious places and office building among others.
The District Child Protection Unit, Thoubal also conducted social service at Government Children home for Boys, Charangpat while MI Department, Thoubal Sub Division organised a painting competition for students in relief camps alongside a cleanliness drive.
Meanwhile, the District Social Welfare Officer led the observance of International day for Older Person at Khangabok relief camp at Rice Research Station, Thoubal.
In Tengnoupal district, Swachhatha Hi Seva was observed in the sub divisions wherein district level officers and staffers of line departments conducted cleanliness drives in and around office complex of the DC.
Under the aegis of Kakching deputy commissioner Somorjit Salam, officials and staffers of the district administration Observed Swachhata Hi Seva by organising cleanliness drives at block and panchayat levels.
Cleanliness drives were organised at Chumnang Community Hall, Friendship Sporting Club and Veterinary hospital, Chumnang by Irong Chesaba Gram panchayat and at Industrial Estate, Kuraopokpi by DIC Thoubal/Kakching, Entrepreneurs and BSF.
Similar programmes were held at Chairel Gram Panchayat, Pangantabi Gram Panchayat of Langmeidong CD Block, Keirak Yawabung Keithel and Arong Nongmaikhong GP along with DCO Kakching.
District Child District Child Protection Unit, Kakching also organised cleanliness drive under Pallel GP.
On the other hand, EPFO Special State Office, Imphal and Nehru Yuva Kendra (Imphal), Kendriya Vidyalaya No 1, Imphal organised cleanliness drives at their respective office premises at Khuman Lampak sports complex and Lamphelpat.
RIMS hospital on Sunday launched a month long sanitation campaign under "Swachhata Hi Seva" to be held from October 2 to 31 in its campus.
As part of the launch event, Hospital authority along with Uripok Apunba Lup conducted a cleanliness drive from the Paediatric emergency gate till the IMA gate.
Noney district administration in collaboration with line departments, police and Longmai Bazar Longmai Bazar Board conducted a mass cleanliness drive at Longmai Bazar.
The mass cleanliness drive was led by DC Joseph Pauline Kamson and participated by district level officers, Longmai Bazar Board members and CSO leaders.
