CM Biren airs state issues to PM Narendra Modi

Chief minister N Biren Singh separately met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and discussed the prevailing situation of Manipur on Saturday evening, after attending the 9th Governing Council meeting of NITI Aayog and the Chief Ministers' Conclave (Mukhya Mantri Parishad) held earlier in the day.
After attending the 9th Governing Council meeting of NITI Aayog which was held at the Cultural Centre of Rashtrapati Bhavan and presided by PM Narendra Modi, and ended on Saturday afternoon, CM Biren participated in the Chief Ministers' Conclave at BJP Na tional Headquarters in Delhi.
The Conclave, presided over by BJP national president JP Nadda, was also attended by chief ministers and deputy chief ministers of BJP-ruling states.
However, CM Biren could not talk with PM Modi during the meeting with regard to the prevailing conflict in Manipur.
However, a highly placed source revealed that chief minister N Biren and Prime Minister Narendra Modi met at the BJP headquarters on Saturday for around 15 minutes and discussed the current crisis in the state.
The source, however, conceded that what transpired during the talks could not be ascertained.
On the other-hand, some BJP MLAs currently in the national capital expressed belief that PM Modi advised CM Biren to support the decision of the BJP and the accord importance to collective decision taken by party's state legislators.
On the other hand, CM Biren shared on social media regarding his meeting with BJP national president and union minister JP Nadda and BJP national general secretary BL Santosh.
Sharing about the meeting with JP Nadda on X, the CM posted "The meeting deliberated on various crucial matters, including the ongoing peace efforts, infrastructure development and various initiatives taken up under the BJP Government" .
Regarding the meeting with BL Santosh, Biren said that he is inspired by his insights on a range of matters concerning the BJP's contributions in the growth and development of the nation.
Notably, N Biren Singh told media persons before leaving for New Delhi to attend the NITI Aayog meet and CMs' conclave that he will try to meet PM Modi and pressurise about resolving the more than one year long ethnic violence in Manipur.
In response to views shared by political parties, civil society group and other sections of the society that PM Modi should end his silence on Manipur and take initiative to end the violence, N Biren had repeatedly claimed of constantly communicating with PM on the situation in the state though PM did not come, part from insisting that the Centre has been helping the state in every possible manner.
