Biren lambast state government regarding ongoing situation in Manipur

After a team of BJP state unit led by the President met Union Home Minister to apprise the present situation in the state, former MLA of Heingang AC and spokesperson of state BJP unit N Biren met media persons at the state BJP office today.
Expressing apprehensions of undesirable consequences of economic blockade continues further, he laments the Divide and rule policy of present Manipur government.
saying that not all Nagas support the demands and ideologies of NSCN �IM as innumerable nagas and tangkhuls slain by IM provided ample proof.
Applauds roles of CSOs both in the hill and valley areas in maintaining peace and diffusing tension, asserting that under the initiative of central government- more than 500 vehicles reaching Imphal today.
clarifying that there were no instruction from Ministry of Home Affairs at the centre for release of UNC leaders, the spokesperson disclosed that 184 companies of paramilitary force has already been deployed in the state with another 7 on way to state.
Questioning the state government's inability to remove obstacles and clear the national highways despite adequate forces while the people in the state are suffering untold misery, he clarified that development of national highways central responsibility but making the roads safe is responsibility of state government, and the state BJP Unit have to approach the leaders at the centre due to the deteriorating social and economic conditions in the state.
Appealing to UNC to withdraw the indefinite economic blockade Biren states that BJP will provide necessary assistance if the issue can be discussed at another forum instead of pressuring for demands using the lifelines of the state.
the visiting state unit also pressured the union home ministry to clarify rumours being spread by the state government pertaining to contents of the framework agreement which challenges the territorial integrity of Manipur.
The team also asserted the stand of the state unit and the people that any ceasefire or framework agreement should be confined to the state of Nagaland only.
No more collaboration or coalition with NPF and BJP will contest election on its own.
Raising a number of points against the state government pertinent to the prevailing situation in Manipur, Nongthombam Biren who is the spokesperson of the party questioned whether the state government have written a formal letter to the centre stating that any ceasefire agreement with NSCM IM should cover any part of Manipur, or if there is no ceasefire in the state, have the state government written to the centre regarding the presence of camps of the proscribed group with details of their strength, exact locations etc with a formal request to flush out the group.
If the state government have made any such formal moves, such documents should be made public which would solve a lot of misunderstanding and tension in the state.
Further questioning if the state government have provided formal proof of NSCN IMs involvement in the recent ambush at Noney and Lokchao or whether the central government have neglected to take action despite the information and whether the state government have taken any counter measures to apprehend the culprits involved, Biren also demanded any document to support any of the actions of the state government, further demanding clarification on the unconfirmed reports that the security personnel were not given permission to retaliate even to save themselves during the ambush, and to come out on who and why such decisions are being made.
