Imphal, May 27 2010:
Village headmen and secretaries of Silent, Ngarumphung, South Loushing, Happyland and Tongkai villages covered by 22 Kamuching constituency have alleged that polling recorded in Silent LP School polling station were all proxy votes.
A joint press release issued by the headmen and secretaries of these villages alleged that all the votes were cast in midnight of May 25 by polling agents of one candidate in connivance with polling officers.
On the polling day (May 26) not a single voters turned up at the polling station to cast their votes.
Saying that these villagers have already decided not to participate in the ADC elections, they asked all concerned not to count votes polled in the polling station.
