Ram Krishna Mission Imphal distributes Rs 70 lakh worth of relief materials

Imphal, July 27 2023:
The Ramakrishna Mission, Imphal conducted the first phase of its ongoing Manipur refugee/distress relief work, from May 10 to July 20 wherein relief items worth more than Rs 70 lakh were distributed to over 120 relief camps in five districts of the State.
According to a statement issued by the Ramakrishna Mission, Imphal, the relief items consisted of dry ration, bedding and clothing, toiletries, utensils, food supplements for infants and mothers etc.
These items were distributed to more than 18,000 affected people sheltering in over 120 relief camps in Bishnupur, Imphal East, Imphal West, Kakching and Thoubal districts.
The statement further shared that with regards to the second phase of their relief work, Ramakrishna Mission, Imphal will attempt to continue their outreach and serve the afflicted, especially, the children and nursing/expectant mothers.
Adding that efforts are also being made to arrange for some educational support to the displaced students, it conveyed their plan to procure warm clothing and thick blankets to distribute to as many affected families as possible, before the winter sets in.
