Thoubal, July 27 2023:
Displaced people and victims of Moreh and Churachandpur currently taking refuge in Akampat relief camp staged a sit-in protest at Wangjing Keithel Irabot Lamkhai today against the demand for Separate Administration and atrocities of narco-terrorists.
The protestors including young children used placards which read 'We don't believe in Central Forces', 'Please Save us Modi Ji', 'Be Awake State and Central Administration', 'Moreh is our Ancestral Land', 'We want resettlement at Moreh', 'Stop activities to disintegrate Manipur', 'Stop Cross-Border terrorism', 'Deploy more State Forces in Moreh', 'Save Meitei, Save Moreh' etc.

In the wake of fresh cases of violence and arson in Moreh yesterday, a protestor who is also a victim of communal violence from Moreh identified as Tamem expressed dismay that the displaced people are left in a state of despair after yesterday's incident who were hoping for resettlement at their respective ancestral land in Moreh.
Considering the plights of the people, she urged the State and Central Government to deploy more State Forces in Moreh so as to save Moreh.
It may be noted that hundreds of displaced people from Moreh are taking refuge in various relief camps aftermath the violence and arson which erupted on May 3 .
