Three fresh Covid cases detected

Imphal, March 27 2022:
The state on Sunday reported only three new positive cases of Covid-19 out of 530 sample tested in the last 24 hours, thus, registering a positivity rate of 0.57 per cent against 1.24 per cent reported on Saturday.
No death cases were reported in the last 24 hours and the toll stands at 2120 .
Till date, the virus has claimed lives of 194 vaccinated people of which 61 had received second doses of Covid vaccine.
In the last 24 hours, 3 patients were discharged from CCCs.
Number of active cases stands at 40 out of which 13 (32.50 per cent) are in home isolation.
There are 298 vacant beds available in JNIMS and 166 in RIMS.
So far, the state has recorded 11,296 positive cases and 118 fatalities since the beginning of the third wave of the pandemic.
The current month has reported 301 new positive cases and 8 fatalities.
The weekly number of new cases and new fatalities are 43 and 0 respectively.
According to official reports, all the 3 fresh cases (2 male & 1 female) are from among the general population.
They are from Imphal West (2) and Kakching (1).The cumulative number of positive cases has reached 137,084 (general population - 1,32,070 and CAPF personnel - 5,014) .
Number of recovered cases is 1,34,924 (general population - 1,29,918 and CAPF personnel - 5,006) and number of active cases is 40 (general population - 39 and CAPF personnel - 1) .
The recovery rate is 98.42 per cent.
A total of 281 D-type and 97 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities in the last 24 hours while 2090 vaccine doses were administered on Saturday taking the cumulative number of vaccinated people to 15,34,642, out of which 11,78,426 had received second doses and 65,248 precautionary doses.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (48,705), Imphal East (30,419), Thoubal (10,148), Churachandpur (11,049), Kangpokpi (3128), Tamenglong (3478), Bishnupur (9824), Senapati (2491), Ukhrul (3269), Kakching (6888), Chandel (2716), Noney (1158), Tengnoupal (1199), Jiribam (1111), Kamjong (1036) and Pherzawl (465) .
Fatality counts in different districts are Imphal West (704), Imphal East (511), Thoubal (189), Churachandpur (168), Kangpokpi (67), Tamenglong (17), Bishnupur (205), Senapati (12), Ukhrul (51), Kakching (122), Chandel (42), Noney (5), Tengnoupal (15), Jiribam (7), Kamjong (5) and Pherzawl (0) .
Data analysed by this daily shows that the rate of infection remains 44,178 confirmed cases per million population (based on projected population of 31,03,000 as per NCP report) against the national average of 30,652 CPM.
Test rate has improved to 5,15,501 tests per million population against the national average of 5,60,703 TPM.
Case fatality rate stands at 1.55 per cent.
In the past 24 hours, only 530 samples were tested and the single day positivity rate was 0.57 per cent while the cumulative rate stands at 8.57 per cent.
