BSF trooper dies in suspected suicide case

A BSF trooper posted at the BSF temporary outpost at Serou Mamang Leikai under Sugnu police station reportedly committed suicide by shooting self with his service gun.
The deceased has been identified as Radheshyam Gujar (41) of Nagri village in Rajasthan.
According to a police report, Radheshyam Gujar of 163 battalion (A Coy) was on duty at the outpost when he took his own life around 11:40 pm on Tuesday.
On hearing the sound of a gunshot, the deceased's colleagues rushed to the spot and found Radeshyam Gujar with a bullet injury on his chin.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the soldier used his service rifle to end his life, the police report said, adding that motive behind taking such an extreme step was not known immediately.
He was first taken to CHC Sugnu and then referred to Jeevan Hospital, Kakching where he succumbed to the injury around 3 am on Wednesday.
A case of unnatural death has been registered by Sugnu police station and the body kept at JNIMS Morgue for post-mortem.
